Read this powerful story that I found in a book I am reading, "GodSpeaks Devotional"!! Two powerful men with powerful decisions to forever influence ours!! That's why I shrug when people tell me they chose to work than go to church (worship) or many other events comes up that church (worship) becomes the last thing to do!! Read on!!

"THEY'RE COMMANDMENTS, NOT SUGGESTIONS!" - God

Thirty years ago, Sandy Koufax, a Jewish pitcher for the LA Dodgers, announced that he wouldn't play on the holiest day of his year, Yom Kippur. Koufax's employer pointed out that it was the first game of the 1965 World Series. Couldn't he pitch just a little? "No," Koufax said. But, he pitched a shutout in games five and seven, and the Dodgers won the series 4-3.

In 1996, Eli Herring, a 340-pound offensive tackle, who sported a 3.5 GPA, was expected to be the top senior offensive tackle in the pro draft. However, he turned down a possible multi-million dollar deal with the Oakland Raiders because he wouldn't play on his holy day, Sunday..

Do you think these men made foolish decisions???

They would be likely to tell you that the opposite is true. God's commandments are designed to keep us on the path to happiness and well-being. They are designed to remind us of basic truths, such as the fact that fame and fortune are fleeting, but keeping our word and honoring our convictions add character to our lives - character that will serve us well in the storms of life.

Do you have solid convictions to guide you? It may be time to establish or reaffirm a strong foundation for your life.

Amen!!

"If you love me, you will obey what I command." John 14:15

THAT'S TRUE !!! However, remember that is just one of MANY ways to worship for God !!! Some churches offer 4 different times for Worship: Saturday at 5 pm, Sunday at 9 am, Sunday at 11 am, and Sunday at 7 pm. Lot of large churches do that. THEREFORE, a church-goer (yes, who love GOD) can choose one of them -- why?? Because that person could have things to do on Sunday (conflict day) no matter what it is actually be. I like that very High flexibility. I can go up to mountains for family camps, or can study all day for school test next day, or special activity for kids something, or not feeling good, or blah blah blah. IT DOESNT MEAN THAT a Church-Goer feel he-she is GUILTY because of skipping on Sunday morning. I understand if it is small church -- which is not my problem at all. I notice someone who "gave up everything" for nothing, simply just go to church on Sunday morning. How silly. That's why we want to have VERY STRONG FAITH ... is going to a big church ... that way we can pray, intertain, social, read, etc for Our Dear Lord the Jesus Christ the Savior all Almighty in heart and soul.

Hey, I like your ENCOURAGEMENT and EMPHASIZE to help Christians get back on Good Rope and stay path for Christ.

Praise Lord !!!!
