Who's your boss??? It's not the Pope. It's not the President. I'm not talking about earthly figures way up at the top of the corporate ladder. He's someone much bigger than you realize! Of course! It's our God, the Father in Heaven!
I saw this bumper sticker on a car. I love this line,
"My Boss Is A Jewish Carpenter."
And, I say, "Amen!"
In a worldly point of view, what happens to you if these incidences occurs?
1. If you arrived late for work.
2. If you didn't do the work your boss gave you.
3. If you were loafing around.
4. If you "walked over the line" as an employee (harrassment, lied, gossip, etc.)
5. If you slept on the job.
6. If you called in sick and ran into your boss at a sporting event (your boss had taken the day off, not called in sick!).
In a spiritual point of view, what happens to you if these incidences occurs?
1. If you arrived late to church.
2. If you aren't doing what the Lord wills.
3. If you're playing around with sin.
4. If you "walked over the line" as a Christian (sin, gossip, two-faced, etc.)
5. If you slept during a sermon/bible class.
6. If you decided not to go to church because you don't feel like it.
Apparently, it's easier to do the "worldly things" and get away with it. But, don't you realize that "The Boss" knows your heart? Do you think you can get away with the things you know is wrong? Let me tell you something that's real simple for a simple human being to do, for the "Boss" has plans for us, therefore we must do as the "Boss" says.
"And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,.." Colossians 1:10 (niv)
