06/06/06

There are alot of talks about today's 06/06/06 and referring the day as "666", the mark of the beast.. I got an email from a brother of mine and he forwarded me an www link leading me into a baptist church warning parents of giving birth to a child today from midnight to midnight. The church is telling them, instead of crossing their fingers, to cross their legs. Here's their quote:

"If at all possible, have your Baptist doctor induce the child to be born earlier. The most reliable method known to Creation Science to get a mother to go instantly into labor is to jump in front of her when she least expects it and scare the dickens out of her. If this doesn't prove scary enough, read the Bible to her. Otherwise, FedEx a love processing gift of $2,000 to " Landover Baptist Church , Freehold, Iowa 55369." As soon as your check clears, we will send you information on how to perform a "Creation Birth Reduction." Reduction will cause the mother to give birth two or three days out from her expected due date. If you have a weak stomach, allergies to dried locusts and can not drink human urine, the Reduction is not for you."

This is one of seven suggestions!! I thought to myself, "Man! What kind of information are they feeding the world!?" They're actually scaring people and giving false messages, and the $2,000 for information on how to's... I browsed through their website and found all kinds of judgmental remarks about unsaved people (unsaved are not welcome), they had pictures advertising their tees on sale but it was a "big breasted woman" wearing the tees showing her belly-button. Another turn-off I found here is this: "Accept Jesus as your Savior and receive a free Playstation 2!!"

Alright, whatever!! Let's move on.. Let's look at the bible verse on "666".. It's shown in Revelation 13:18: "This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666."

First of all, there are four different views of Revelation:
1. Historical.
2. Present.
3. Future.
4. Symbolic.

Again, Revelation is one of the most difficult book to understand. I will not take the time to explain to you everything but just help you understand the nature of the beast (666):

1. Origin: ..out of the sea.. seen in Isaiah 17:12; Revelation 17:1, 15.
2. Nature: ..beast.. the original word carries the idea of a brutal, savage, ferocious beast.
3. Power: ..ten horns.. Total power and might seen in Deuteronomy 33:17; 2 Sam. 2:1; 1 Kings 22:11; Luke 1:69.
4. Authority: ..seven heads.. Perfect authority. Genesis 3:15; Eph. 5:22-31; Colossians 1:18. But remember this power that is given to him (Rev. 13:5, 7) (Compare this with Romans 13:1-7; John 19:8-11)
5. Reign: ..seven crowns (diadems).. The original word signifies kingly nature, rule or reign.
6. Opposes God: ..names of blasphemy.. Revelation 13:5-6.
7. Fearsome: ..leopard.. Sudden, swift, cruel. ..bear.. Slow, relentless, crushing.
8. Satanic: ..Dragon gave him power, a throne and authority.. He is the devil's vice-regent.
9. Hard to kill: ..Fatal wound... but healed.
10. World-wide: ..whole world astonished and followed the beast.

"All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast - all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world." Revelation 13:8 (niv)

The number of man (666) - 666 speaks of failure, thus this is man's religion. Satan is not God. He is only man!! Three times closer! Six Sixty Six!!

Nevertheless... We shouldn't worry about every detail in the book of Revelation (though they are very important to us) as long as you're faithful with God. The whole point of this book is to encourage each of you to:

1. REMEMBER!
2. REPENT!
3. RETURN!

Be faithful! And endure! The church, His church, the body of Christ will be sustained by the Lord! Amen?

Ahh Ohh "666" .... very famous (and very old) ONE-LINER. "666" is Satan's Number. Very Evil if mixed with prayers etc with "soap opera drama" regarding about "666" subject. We the Christians don't need the new kind of Religious Soap Opera. The website (what Mark had mentioned about Baptist Church's accusations and drama-blaming-games on "all warnings" of what "666") is nothing significent that can do valuable to you at all. That website is all the beloneys. The person who wrote down that website is probably very fearful of God, even if he/she is really a Christian or not, after all. The same old stupid trick is like those people who also tried to advertise the "if you call that hotline, you will win one million dollars" saga/mail letters. HOW SADLY, in this free world, we (any people on Earth) can choose the BAD PATH leading to "666" tricks. It's same thing i heard this 06/06/06 "warning" (isn't that lead to acalapacse) .... ohh ahh all the beloneys !!!! SATAN LOVES TO MAKE ALL PEOPLE FEEBLE-HEADED. If you TRUST in the God Dear Lord, as your name is in Lord's hands, you don't need to worry about all the stuffs (and even acalapacse etc). Just go pray and enjoy life -- BE HAPPY.

When i was working in PO in Colorado in old days, I heard many times about "666" subject -- all the fearful sagas about ZIP CODE 666 (first 3 digits) ... lead to TOPEKA, KANSAS. I heard some stories about people there TRIED to remove those silly numbers !!!! Of course not !!!! It is normal numbers, in matter of fact. 66601, 66603 etc -- just like running up the numbers for all zip codes for USA. Its same thing if you do math work ... xyz + abc = 666. WHO CARES. Number is just number. Let fumbling your fingers up that numbers. Imagine the people in Topeka (few people) tried to remove that, by going to court system etc. Fortunately, all thrown out. Now 06/06/06 is just numbers and calenders. BE HAPPY ... let say today is 06/06/06 ... even at 06:06 AM or 06:06 PM. HAHAHA. Funny. LET "POKE" ON Satan's eyes !!!!

TRUST TRUST IN GOD. Let pray "666" (all numbers -- is like 663, 664, 665, 666, 667 etc) is wonderful "numbers" for Lord ... so what. GOOD BYE SATAN.

TRUST IN LORD'S HANDS,
C......

Hi. The "Battle of Armageddon", the number "666" and the "Antichrist" send a chill up the spine by the very mention of the words. For many, these words conjure up a dramatic image of some end of the world holocaust. With images that include fire, mass destruction, and the Devil himself taking political control of the world through the United Nations etc. etc. Speculations about who the "antichrist" is have included about every US president and any "evil" world leader. I remember a speculation that the "antichrist" would be a demon possessed super-human that was a genetically engineered clone. Recent favorites include Sadam Hussin of the Gulf war. I personally know of several individuals who believed the Gulf war was the beginning of the end of the world. In fact, many were absolutely terrified by the Gulf war, fearing what the outcome would be. TV evangelists love to talk about the "antichrist", but in the end it is all nothing more than idle speculation designed more to keep a TV audience sending in their donations.

But don't get me wrong. The word, AntiChrist, is found in the Bible. Read these scriptures...

1 John 2:18-19 "Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen; from this we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, in order that it might be shown that they all are not of us."

1 John 2:22-23 "Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also."

1 John 4:2-3 "By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world."

2 John 1:7 "For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist."

From the Bible we can clearly see 3 things. First, the "antichrist" is defined as anyone who doesn't believe Jesus is the divine son of God. Second, "antichrists" appear to actively teach against Christ. Third, there were many "antichrists" in the world when John wrote the book. This directly contradicts the teaching of modern speculationists who say that one antichrist will arise at some still future time.

The Greek word from which our English word "antichrist" is translated is very simple to understand. It is a simple compound word and means "anti" + "Christ" = "antichrist". We use the same compound word every day. We have people who are "anti-smoking" or "anti-gay" or "anti-hunting" or "anti-Semitic" or "anti-abortion". There really is no big mystery as to what the word means. "Anti-Christ" is anyone who opposes Christ.

Take this test to see if you are an "antichrist": 1. Do you actively teach or simply believe that Jesus Christ never walked the earth, but was a mythological figure? 2. Do you actively teach or simply believe there was a man named Jesus Christ, but he did not actually raise from the dead? 3. Do you actively speak out against or simply believe Christianity is a false religion? 4. Jesus said, "He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters" Matthew 12:30. Are you an atheist or agnostic who is indifferent and non-religious? Then you too are an "antichrist"! The Bible term "antichrist" could be simply understood to be equivalent to being a "non-believer."

The "antichrist" then, has no horns or red glowing eyes. Neither is the "antichrist" some demon possessed super-intelligent human clone. Rather, the "antichrist" is that sweet elderly lady living next door who openly teaches the neighborhood kids that Jesus just was a myth.

I was born in June of 1961. The last 3 digits of my social security number happens to be 666! Yet I never believed for a moment that I'm doomed or marked. People who come up with the ideas of satan (I never capitalize this name) obviously want to believe things that God do not want us to believe. It's sad that the hearts and minds of so many people are not receiving God's Word ... maybe they are, but they are just not responding or simply denying God's glory. Ignore satan. It's trash. Pteh to satan.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near you. Wash your hards, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:7

Although God and the devil are at war, we don't have to wait until the end to see who will win. God has already defeated satan. ( Revelation 12:10-12) and when Christ returns, the devil and all he stands for will be eliminated forever ( Revelation 20:10-15 ).

With the Holy Spirit's power, we can resist the devil, and he will flee from us.

Landover Baptist is a parody site. Granted, it is in no way pro-Christian (very anti-Christian in my mind), but it IS satire.

Know your enemy.

Jeff..

Thanks for the info! Really! Of course, it was shocking at first. Just didn't think it would come from a church that ought to show the love of Jesus to the people. Now, we know.. Again, thanks!

LOL. and *THAT's* what gives luddites ammunition to say that Christians are freaks.

I tried to open a link to http://www.landoverbaptist.org/beliefs.html to see what they believe, and the ironic part is that my employer's web filters blocked this page saying that it was "Category: Obscene/Tasteless"

Thank goodness the filters do not block fxcc.org.
