Nowadays, whenever I see the word "Olympics", I think of Olympics in 1976 when Olga Korbut was the reigning gymnast, and Mark Spitz was the reigning swimmer! Fast forward to 1988, I watched Greg Louganis who was the reinging springboard diver and he made headlines when he hit his head on the 3-meter springboard, (see this pic at http://i.infoplease.com/images/greglouganis.jpg ) had immediate medical attention to stitch that nasty gash on the back of his head, and then immediately resumed his competition and won his gold medal. Unforgettable moment for me and also the most difficult event, although very briefly, too... due to this mishap! This time, I'll be watching for Michael Phelps, the swimmer from Baltimore, Md and the Hamm brothers, who are gymnasts, but sadly one of them, Morgan Hamm, had to withdraw due to a bad left ankle injury. I'll also be watching for Shawn Johnson in women's gymnastics. The most difficult events? Hmm ... hard question.
Sorry I didn't vlog my answers because I don't have the equipment (web cam, etc) yet! :)
