Longest Name

Did you know that the longest name in the Bible is found in Isaiah 8:1?

Mahershalalhashbaz

Can you pronounce the word for us?!

I looked up the meaning of this name.

A name Isaiah was commanded first to write in large characters on a tablet, and afterwards to give as a symbolical name to a son that was to be born to him (Isa. 8:1, 3), as denoting the sudden attack on Damascus and Syria by the Assyrian army.

Hey man!

I wished I could pronounce his name correctly. How I remember his name was when Becky Hinckley placed his name on my back and I had to guess who "I" am! Remember during one of our Wamava retreat, everyone had to remember their bible name on the back. ;)

Then Becky gave me a challenge. When everyone looked at it, they laughed in my face! Geez, man! That helped me remember:

Mahershalalhashbaz!! :)

Anyways, I'm only guessing here:

Ma-her-sha-lal-hash-baz

This is how I'm pronouncing it.

Thanks for the link, bro!

Have you made any new posts on your blog? Been looking into it but none since March. ;)
