As I type, we're in Vandalia, IL staying at the Holiday Inn Express. We're returning home after being with our families in KS/MO since the 21st. We're anxious to get home and get working with God through 2008..
It's good to get out of town for a while. It helps rejuvenate the Spirit in me. I've been so much more focused on God and His plans for my life, my family, His church and all those whom meet me at every crossroads of life. Today, we attended the Blue River Church of Christ in Lee's Summit and Darin Kennedy encouraged us to use the name of "Jesus" as often as you can throughout the rest of the new year of 2008. Say the name, "Jesus". Share the name, "Jesus". Show the name, "Jesus". He encourages us to read the book of John as often as we can. As he preached on, my heart was heavy for those in the East. I sense the Spirit may be trying to tell me to keep pressing on giving God the glory, the glory, the glory! Within the next couple of weeks, I'm going to be praying and praying to God that He will do whatever He can in His power to use me through the year of 2008! I ask that each of you lift me and my family up to the Lord in your daily prayer. Thanks!
Now, I'm keeping a close eye on the two candidates: Huckabee and Thompson. I read an article in Yahoo and was so thankful that Huckabee emphasizes the name God, Jesus and Christ. He quoted this which I'm now praying that the Lord will open this door of opportunity bringing Christ to the White House:
"I hope we answer the alarm clock and take this nation back for Christ."
Let's pray to God for our nation! Look at it now. It's a terrible mess!
If I don't write tomorrow, let me say this a night in advance, "Happy New Year, everyone! Let's do more for God during 2008, seriously!"

Your comments are muchly appreciated and I respect each of them.
Just to be clear on my reasoning, I pray that the Lord will provide for America a leadership that will lead America and the world to Christ. That's all I am asking. There will be agendas on politics (as always), economy, war, morality, etc.
I'm not the judge of all living beings in this world. Only God is. Whatever happened to Bush is up to God. Whether you like him or not, God allows leaders of various kinds. He allowed a bad king to lead Israel or Judah. He allowed a good king of Judah to be killed. Even, God allowed kings to make deals with evil kings! All this can be found in 1 & 2 Kings.
It is my prayer that we bring in a President like those in the good 'ole days: Abe Lincoln, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson all heavily relied on the Bible in their speeches, etc!
Let's simply p-r-a-y for our nation and the new leadership at the end of this year. Forget what happened in the past and strain forward with renewed hope in God!

Hey I understand that to emphasis on that Two Kings Era in Old Testament. Remember again, this was about in Old Testament times before Jesus was born and died for us. Jesus has had said "It is finished" ... therefore the disciplines and teachings in Old Testament was THROWN away. And I thought that God had began the new teachings that gives out all the freedom even without the penalty. You can get away with it, yes on Earth level, BUT NOT ON God's level as you will enter the TEST (God will tell you the chronology [time LIFE frame] as everything what had happened until you die) this will make you so much guilty even regardless if your name is in Book of Life or not, it will bring the BIGGEST guilty every time a person has come forward to front of God's Throne. So I don't think that if God has "making" things to be EVILISH or alike. I think its just what's really counts today is New Testament method of theology and doctronic teachings.
Heck, no, if we pray enough, it doesn't mean that God has to TEST us in any regard, except BETWEEN GOD AND PERSON directly. In other words, it cannot be given any TESTS among the people if given into "third party" or via commentor or communicator.
Yeah, again its very interesting as you can point things out very clearly -- you are right theologically. Scientifically, NO !!!! Even myself too. Scientifically or Physically similarily, we have to deal with the world !!!!! You know in Bible, there was NO TV ... therefore, how can I tell if "a thing" is a good thing or a bad thing. Oh my !!!!! Its same thing, during Jesus' old days walking on Earth alive, the marriage is so completely different !!! A man can date at very very young age (which its against the law in this today's World) and even start to marry only ONE month later (yes its like "one month girlfriend-boyfriend" something like that, and jump into the beautiful bed God has given beautiful "gift" for the marriage special. You know that that secret answer only for the married couples. See, See, See, today is different.
Whew, let hope the best for the President on the Next Line. Oh my own motto: "One World Under God" !!! (I don't like One Nation Under God on One Dollar Bill !!!!!!!)
