Man! Yesterday was one HEAVY DUTY day! It took toll on our hearts, my wife and mine! The pressure was great, I even have a cold sore to prove it! :) The Lord placed it on our hearts through His dear, dear faithful children at Fairfax!
Heavy!
50+ came to say their goodbyes to us. 15+ came later during the day and gave us their love, blessings and a long good lovin' hug.. We appreciate the love they gave us.
The weight became so much HEAVIER!
Yes! I broke down in tears after opening the album given by the deaf/hearing congregation at Fairfax. Just after looking at the first page filled with scribblings and pictures of all the great and awesome years growing together at Fairfax, just after one small glimpse of the first page, I broke down into tears. And so did Michelle. We love the deaf church at Fairfax. We adore their endurance, their perseverance, and their patience (especially with me as their faithful and "bible-thumping" minister). :)
And.... Many thanks to the hearing congregation at Fairfax Church of Christ (Elders, Ministers, Ministry Leaders and congregation) for the unconditional love and support for me, my family and the deaf work! Now, we close the chapter at Fairfax and opening a new one in Overland Park, KS.
Ultra Heavy!
It's a good feeling, though! The heavy feeling was needed! It shows how much we love the deaf church that it hurts to leave. We aren't leaving with bitter feelings. We're not just merely and simply walking away. The departure path was heavy yesterday. Their hearts swelled. Their arms were wide open. Water from their eyes were like rushing waves against our very souls.
Heavy.... We wouldn't miss this for anything in the world! Because it was the love of Jesus that was..... HEAVY.

I am glad that Fairfax was able to show their love for you and give you something tangible to remember them by. It is always hard to leave those you love. What's that saying...God closes the door but opens the window! Blessings to your sweet family....I hope you are happy in KS. You won't regret the time you spend with your family (I know I am thankful for the time I spent with Mom, in her last few months) Keep in touch.
Good Luck new life there. God bless you and your family. I pray the Lord leads you and family arrive at Kansas safe. Love you all. Patty Ann(Rome,GA)
Mark, Fred and I wish you and your whole family the very best filled with God's loving grace and ever flowing blessings! Soon you'll only be about 11 hours away from us. :) So perhaps we will visit you someday!
May you pack and travel safely to the land of Oz!

Oh Mark,
I know it had been really painful for both of you last Sunday, but your Lord is on your side and HE knows how hard it has been for all of you! However, He is your ROCK.
You need MEGADOSES OF LORD's support on your journey to KS. I am confident that you will be glad to come back to be with your family. They will be so grateful for all of your sacrifices you have made for them, your support and your love for both of the families.
You will be missed by both of us even though we had not seen much of each other. I want to thank you both for all of your support, your time and your encouragements for us. You are not the kind of people who are hard to forget! Hope you will keep us in touch by blogging us from KS.
May God make your journey to KS successful,
Holly, Bill & Brittany
