Hey Mark-stumbled upon your blog when googling 'spiritual depression' today. Your site has helped lift my spiritual fog, and this video reminder that "Life is worth living just because He lives" gave me renewed hope. Blessings! -Doug C
It's a sure blessing to have you stumble here! Praise God.
Having a "spiritual depression" is very normal. Please take a look at the book of Kings (1 Kings) 18-19 where a prophet Elijah became depressed because all the prophets were being killed and he felt so alone. But God gave him His reassurance that He's always there not through the earthquake, fire or wind but with a gentle whisper.
Also, remember Jeremiah! He was a lone prophet trying to persuade Israel to return to God. But everyone hated him and His message, even his own family!
There are alot of incidences in the Bible where we struggle in our battles against Satan. Satan knows our weaknesses and he knows how to defeat us. You may be at an all-time low but just keep that light flaming and God will fan into your flame someday. Perhaps, it was when you stumbled over my blog. :)
