Very true! There's a big difference between these two:
Do you come to church to "DO CHURCH"? (Me-centered-mentality)
See some of my old friends in church.
Just sit in the pews and worship God then leave.
Express my heart to God in psalms.
Worship God if time or schedule permits.
Compartmentalizing.
(or)
Do you come to church to "BE THE CHURCH"? (Other-centered-mentality)
Seek those who are hurting in our community.
Worship God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength.
Encourage the wayward to return to God.
Pray for the sick, the lost.
Lead new seekers to Jesus.
Visit those in the hospital or at home.
Write a card; call a friend.
Make yourselves available for others.
Get connected with people who do not know Jesus.
Build relationships.
God is first, family second, job third and the rest is dead last!

This is interesting, Mark.. Our group learned that a church is an "organism" not an "organization". Organism is life; or alive while organization is simply a structure.
Without "organism", the connection between each person and God is cut off. There's no life in the person. If the "hand" is not connected to the "body", the hand dies.
There's a difference between a Christian on MEMBERSHIP ROLL of the "church" (Have Church) and a Christian connected to the LIFE of the church (Do Church). The person (Christian) with LIFE CONNECTION does the Lord's will while the person on membership doesn't. People can be "members" of a church but have no "heart" for DOING CHURCH (DOING JESUS).
Nevertheless, God will be the Judge of each of our actions in life.
PRAISE THE LORD !!!!!!
WOW -- That's all I can say to summerize this awesome article ... To feel (yes the word "feel" is very important, being participate FOR the church in the Name of Our Dear Lord Jesus Christ the Savior !!!!!!!
Mark, we love this article. This is so powerful to make the people "very humbled" to show the full caring from the Holy Spirit of the Lord, being into all the Blessed !!!!!!
However !!!! Be sure, everyone on Earth, who want to participate FOR the Lord, THINK ABOUT "GEOGRAPHIC" (be part of Human's Geography) ... that's means that the Lord knows about each of YOU on Earth ... to desire WHERE to go as "the best fitting of the human-kind" for each person TO GO to settle down, FIRST. Not "be pressurize" from Pulling and Begging People (that's in fact, include MANY MANY relatives and friends alike DO that to each person) ... they do HARM and HURT each people, from being more and more Christian way FOR the Lord.
To "mind-group-up" each person, PRAY PRAY and THINK about the LORD who gives and goes into the hearts, first ... move ahead to settle what EACH PERSON (not from pulling and begging relatives-friends -- No Thanks !!) TO LET YOU (each people) GO "SET A FREE" from mind-slave at all.
That's how I move and ignore the pulling-begging relatives-friends at all ... to become better person and be happy as part of family to go as FOR THE LORD.
Thank you, the Lord for making us to "finally move" as to make our family much better family.
Let pray for the people "who feel STUCK like mind-slave" to move on and move ahead whereever they want as a gift of Lord to make things better !!!!!!
