Lady Wildcats Softball

I just didn't think it would be a hard of a job being a coach for my two eldest girl's softball team. Now, I admire all the coaches all over the U.S. (and the world) who worked hard keeping the team on their feet, parents up-to-date, snack/beverage lineups, practice times, equipment check, ball check, drills, showing up for practices and games, coaches meetings, opening and closing ceremony, playoffs and the most important of all, setting an example to the girls (discipline, teamwork, cooperation, positive attitude, etc.)! Wow! Now, I've said it and done these!! It's an experience I'll never forget. Will I ever coach again?? Sure!!

Here are some pictures of the girls at the "Closing Ceremony".. They're so tight with each other, like a family.. They were laughing and playing and all smiles!! Enjoy!!

Masterpiece of God

Who has the paint brush and other art supplies? You or God?

If you're holding the paint brush, you're creating something that you want to create. Yet, it's not the masterpiece of God. You may have painted yourselves as a sex addict, alcoholic, gambler, loud mouth, critical, gossipper. You may be a negative person. You may have painted a log in your eye and pick on others who merely have a speck. You may have painted a picture to cover up your secret sins but with the wind, sun and rain, the canvas faded away and your secret sins are visible. You struggled with the paint brush working to hide your sins again, and again. All the pressures mount up and you're without peace.

God wants the paint brush. He wants to change the way you look. He wants to change your attitude. He wants to paint the image of Jesus around your life. He wants to lead you with a purpose. Blessings will follow only IF you humbly hand God the paint brush.

Max Lucado wrote in "Traveling Light",

"Do we not dwell in the gallery of our God? Isn't the sky his canvas and humanity his magnum opus? Are we not encircled by artistry? Sunsets burning. Waves billowing.

And isn't the soul his studio? The birthing of love, the bequeathing of grace. All around us miracles pop like fireflies - souls are touched, hearts are changed."

If you're changing (getting rid of all the filth, evil, and baggage, you're beginning to be one of God's masterpieces in the world today. This way, people (without Christ) will see God through the beauty of your example!

Amen?

Dare To Compare

YOU CAN ONLY BE YOU
You can't be your hero, your parent, or your big brother. You might imitate their golf swing or hair style, but you can't be them. You can only be you. All you have to give is what you've been given to give. Concentrate on who you are and what you have.

God never called you to be anyone other than you. But he does call on you to be the best you can be.

"Don't compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life." Galatians 6:4-5 (msg)
